All gowns require alterations, most commonly a hem, taking in the sides, taking up the straps and definitely a bustle if you have a train. I like to start the alterations process 8-10 weeks before (for a bride) and 5-6 weeks before (for moms and bridesmaids) before the wedding date. Brides will typically have 1-2 fittings and a pick up date scheduled. For moms and bridesmaids you will typically have 1 fitting and a pick up date scheduled. I can certainly be flexible and work with a shorter timeline but please keep in mind that it will incur rush fees.
Bridal alterations range between $650-$1,000 depending on level of difficulty. Any customizations that are requested are an additional fee, to be determined with a consultation.

Reach out as soon as you say "yes" to the dress! In general, we need this much time for your alterations:
6 months for reinventions
8-10 weeks for bridal alterations
6-8 weeks for moms and bridesmaids

As soon as you order your gown. It is never too early to plan ahead to make sure that you get the time and date that works best for you. I like to start the alterations process 8-10 weeks before the wedding for a bride, 6-8 weeks before if you're a mom or bridesmaid and at least 6 months before the event if we are doing a reinvention project.
When should I book my appointment?
A bride will have 2 fittings and a pick up appointment, although more fittings are sometimes necessary(sometimes only 1 appointment and a pick up is all that’s needed). Any special occasion (mom and bridesmaid) will have 1 appointment and a pick up appointment. Reinvention projects can be 4 or more.
How many fittings will I have?
There are 3 things that you will need to bring: your gown, the shoes you are wearing on the wedding day and any undergarments you plan to wear with your gown. Although Spanx are not necessary you can opt for a lightweight boy short to smooth everything out.
What should I bring with me to my fittings?
It is impossible to guess a cost over the phone or email without seeing the actual gown on you and in person. Generally, bridal alterations fall between $650 and $1,000+ depending on the complexity of the gown and work that is needed. There is an additional cost if you are requesting customizations to your gown.
